How We Classify Humans?

Exams are just knocking at the door, final year project, lab assignments, quizzes, lectures and teachers have made the life really miserable. Just few days ago I happen to see a comic on facebook that ‘You have 3 weeks to save your semester and the show begins’ :D I have just one week and I don’t know how I am going to cover all this but I have to :P

Today, I was just looking over the things and I saw that a friend of mine inboxed me a video link and my curiosity forced me to lets just have a look, we will study later :D I think all students are like that :P Umm … when I opened it then I saw a page named, We Are One! And the video started to buffer.

I remembered that page because my friend Jawad Kazmi had already launched a video on it and this was the second part. You can watch the video by clicking on the 'We Are One' banner below!

While I was watching that I kept wondering that Why don’t we all think like that? What is it that creates enmity among us? Why is it that we don’t accept people for what they are? How they are?

After all we all are humans, what is it that makes us forget and we chop each other down brutally?

I still haven’t forgotten the Rawalpindi tragedy that happened just a month ago … I still haven’t forgotten the brutal murder of Christians that happened not very far ago …

I really appreciate the efforts of the team who has compiled this video to promote peace and tolerance among people and in particular unity among Muslims. I want the world to know through this blog that Pakistani Youth is alive and is working towards a better Pakistan. Yes! gone are the times when we used to think that some 'Magical' and mystical hero will come and lead our country out of this chaos. Yes! we have realized that we hold the reigns of future in our hands and together, bit by bit, we will create a future we all dream of.

I travel a lot and mostly on public transport. During all that I happen to see people fighting over so trivial things! The more I travel the more I see and the more I see the more I wonder … Why in the name of religion we fight? Does saying that I belong to XYZ sect makes you a member of that sect?

Fine, If you belong to XYZ sect and I belong to ABC sect but we both are humans, we live, eat, drink together. We study in same institute, we meet daily and more or less we are like a virtual family but thinking that belonging to some XYZ sect is crime and if someone of their sect did something bad then it somehow becomes our religious obligation to hate our friend. Why? Because someone from his sect did this and now we don’t want to talk to our friend.

Just think for a while! 

Does that make any sense to you? 

I am not talking about the media, all they had to do is fire the emotions from both sides and create ‘Stories’. To hell with their stories and to hell with their reporting! Just talk to yourself, ask yourself this question, ‘Did you wanted to be a Muslim? Did someone forced you to be one? You could have been a Christian, a Jew or even an Atheist! And Let’s say that you happen to be a Christian and some other person whom you don’t even know but he happens to be a Christian and he lives on the other side of the world and does something stupid and your neighbor comes and kill you what he did and the reason he tells you before he takes your life is that You are a Christian! How would you feel?

Think! 

Is it justified? 

Is it right? 

Does that even makes any sense?

HELL NO!

Now this is what we have been doing and proclaiming ourselves as the righteous of the beings that ever existed on this planet Earth! We need to Change our Thinking! Our behaviors! The way we see and treat life!

The video talks about the sects of the Muslims and highlights a misconception that one sect cannot pray in the mosque of another sect. But for me, I don’t even believe in sects. 

For me either you are a Muslim or you are not a Muslim. *end of conversation*

I don’t care that even you are a Muslim, Christian or a Jew or an Atheist. I treat you as a human and I respect you because you are a human and this is what my religion teaches. Sometimes, I really curse the biologists that why they ever thought of classification? Fine you can classify plants, minerals etc.

Please Don’t Classify Humans!

Just let them be humans, no matter which color, caste or creed they belong. Let’s just call them humans! Let’s just be one! Let’s just all become the citizens of Earth and develop patience and tolerance to protect ourselves and our future.

Let’s just leave all differences behind and let bygones be gone and let’s all say that Yes I am a human and I will respect you because you are a human!
