The Story of the Iff Girl

Well, she already has spoilt her surprise but like still here we go ...
I had wished that I would write all this in the 'How I Met' series but I guess that never happened. Anyways, I never knew who this Iff Girl was, where she lived, what she does because I had never met her. As a matter of fact I havent met her yet but in the tenure of almost more than 13 months I have learnt alot about her.

So, how I came to know about her? Obviously, through Revolution Flame! She was a friend's friend who just joined and she worked pro actively in the Street Children Campaign. There were other people too but I just had this memory preserved, mostly I put it up as my wallpaper of my laptop!

This poster was created in December something I guess and at that moment there were hell lot of things going around. Musarrat Amin was also with us and these girls generated awesome activities. I guess I missed Zahra Batool and Yeah Qurat Apii too.
There was a thing called 'Ambassador Of Month' and the ambassadors who volunteered pro actively were awarded with that title and in February 2013 we announced the combined results and there she won the award of 'Ambassador of Month of December 2012' and Mahoor was of January 2014!
The funny part was that I accidently sent the email of Mahoor to Iffrah and hers to Mahoor! I don't know I was sleeping or what :D Seriously, it was a mistake :P A blunder I would say !
Any ways then street children was just about to conclude and I asked her to write a summary of what we did in the Street Children Campaign, she literally had to search the whole archive and compile it but she did and I promised her that I will try to get that published in the Us Magazine. She completed it in time but unfortunately, I was informed that it is against the policy of that magazine to publish anything so biased. Like come on (-_-) We did some good and sharing a report about that is considered biased ... We made sure that everyone who contributed in the campaign is mentioned and I guess that was just the issue. I was really like </3
Because I promised her and I failed to deliver! *I hope she forgave me for that, You did right?*

Here is just another memory that I extracted ... The epic part -> '#Revolutionary Party'

And then If I remember it right then this Iff girl had some questions regarding *some-one-who-must-not-be-named* :D No more details :P The Iff Girl knows and I know she is smiling right now :D

Okay and now she had papers or what, she disappeared from the scene ... then we had Earth Day Campaign and Women's Day Campaign and she had papers and studies then afterwards when we launched Infinitron in August 2013 then I guess she came back ... Or may be a little before that, we were having some group Skype meetings I think it was regarding the Creative Minds or something ... Then we also started the Save Energy Campaign and again &*@# happened :D

I asked her to write something on Save Energy Campaign and she did without doing any Choon Chaan :D that most girls do :D (This is what I really like about her that she doesn't argues (^_^) She listens and provide constructive feedback) and again when I forwarded that to the editorial board then it got rejected :( as it some how God-Knows-Why didn't fall on the guidelines and i was like -> :@ :@ :@

I didn't know what to say to her I said to her that Don't worry I will get it published in the E-book but like ... umm ... :| I did broke the news and then I didn't know what should I say more, I talk alot but at that moment I was speechless and ashamed but again she said that Oh No Problem!

Another trait which she has inherited from her friend is LayXeeNess :D She wasn't lazy but somehow she did became one and there is some really funny convo where she says 'Sir! Wait ... before you ask me how I am doing or you have a job for me ...' :D I guess that's enough! The Iff Girls knows the rest :3

Another trait of her is that She is Tall, random and outspoken :D and her DP's scare me sometime :3 Why? :P I don't quite really know ! She is a pretty lass but once there was this DP ... I think I should put it here :D but that was scary :3

Another memory was when she inboxed 'Are you Mad at me? *peeks  behind the sofa*' :D In fact I was really angry and frustrated because of the things that were going along in my life but like this #Innocence :D Just put a smile on my face and I forgot everything :D I don't know how she does that :P Sometimes she be so scary and sometimes so talkative and sometimes so innocent :P

I also thought that she is scary because she once said that Evil Witch is her bestie and they both are just the same ... I told her that she is not the Witch :D She is altogether another big story I will blog about her someday when I will have some spare time!

Then one upon a time not very long ago I asked her a favour and she said that she would help me out. it was related to Punjab University but like I never thought she would do it because it is such a 'Khuwaar Kaam' which I was asking her to do but yet she did it (^_^) *ThankYou Girl*

And just another memory which I would like to share here is the blog naming. I dont know what intrigued her to make a blog but she did and she wasnt happy with the name and then we brainstormed alot of names and finally the current blog address she is using was suggested by me and whenever I see her blog posts it feels so nice and I remember all those memories (^_^)

I don't know where I would be in this world after 5 years, where would she be but I have a strong feeling she would be married by then :D *pun-intended* but these awesome memories would remain with me ...

Just wanna say that Happy Birthday Girl. I thought alot what gift should I give you but finally I thought you will love this flashback and memories ... :) I pray that you have loads of such happy moments in the life ahead!

The Super Sister - Huma Baji

A person can have all luxuries of the world but having a family is something that matters the most. There are two families, the one in which you are born and the other you create for the world you live in. Almost all of us are blessed with the first one but the second one is what you often interact with. Well in the world I created for myself, I met people from various schools of thoughts and there were few who became really close to me and I respect them a lot because they are who motivated me, guided me, cheered with me, shared my sorrows and became a part of what I called a family.
This lady is one of those persons whom I met in my university life. The way we met isn’t that interesting but the memories we made together in the 2 year tenure of university life is something I wont ever forget. She is what I call a super sister! So let’s begin how I met this super sister :D

Huma Nadeem UET Taxila 2k8 Open House

How I met ...

You may not find it interesting but let me tell you. It was my first semester and I had an obsession with debates. I had stood third in All Pakistan HEC English debate competition and then stepping in university where a whole new world awaits you. It was like a dream coming true. I still remember it was my first day in university and the first thing when I entered in Electrical department was to read the notice board and there I saw the posters of inter departmental debate competition which was held some months back in university. It was that moment that I wanted to speak and express myself on podium. Not to mention the ragging I went through in University Bus for quite a time but anyway that turned out to be beneficial for me.
I saw another debate competition named FAST TamashaDecalmation Contest and after I searched and asked my friends in university I came to know that you have to be a member of Debating Society to be eligible to participate in it. I remember that a day before, when I was going back home I met Muhammad Asad, who a friend of Ahmed Bhai (2k7). Asad bhai was constantly talking in English and I was so very much inspired by him that I just wanted to be that person. Later on I came to know that he is the president of Quiad-e-Azam debating society. Now that’s called #Level !
Anyways I was told that University’s official debating team has been finalized and I have to go there by paying for myself and another problem was that I needed a partner. That’s where a very good friend of mine name Arooj Fatima came in to play. She was my school mate and luckily she had a friend who wanted to go there. Her name was Saba Arif. I will tell you how I met her some other time after she gives me the three treats she owe me :D Anyways, we teamed up and started to practice. Arooj encouraged me a lot and gave me confidence and I respect her (^_^)
Finally the day arrived and Tamasha 2010 happened. It was Day1 and as I entered the premises of FAST NUCES Islamabad, all I saw were unfamiliar faces. It was my first ever event and damn ! I was nervous. Then as I walked a little bit and reached the main building where the registration desks were placed I met Zohaab bhai, he was and still a legend for me :D I will blog about him too :P and then I heard someone saying, ‘ Nervous?’ and as I turned I saw Huma Baji … that was like officially when I met her :P I think I did saw her in QDS Trail session or may be not. I don’t remember … But in Tamasha 2010 she encouraged me like a super sister :D After all that’s what I call her :P
We spoke for a while and then I went to the auditorium where I had to deliver a English humorous debate and she left for her Parliamentary Debates.

Best memories?

There are loads of them and the best I should say was the FAST Tamasha 2011. In 2010’s version I just delivered my debate and left because I had never travelled alone in public transport and I didn’t know the way back home. Asad bhai was going back home and I went back with him. But in 2011, I was found in FAST all three days, from 8am in morning till 10pm night. If I remember it right than Huma Baji spoke the parliamentary debates and I was there listening as I mentioned earlier, back then I used to be addicted to them. Wahab bhai was an inspiration for me, so was Asad bhai, Nida Baji and all other seniors of mine. It is because of them where I stand today and I am really thankful to them for grooming me.
That parliamentary debate session was so amazing that you just can’t imagine. There were two teams from Punjab University and one was from FC College Lahore. FC trip was <3 will blog about it someday too. There were other teams  but they got disqualified, the judges decided that all four teams play the final at a time. UET Taxila and FC College were put in Govt. and both teams of Punjab University were grouped and it was an enforced humor round. I don’t remember it right but the topic was ‘Yeah Aewaan Ghooma k Day ga’ :D and the rebuttals were simply hilarious and the PU teams violated the decorum various times.
Those memories are still in my mind, Zohaab bhaii went as the first speaker with a blank page and he spoke for 8 minutes. I don’t know how he did that but he be so legendary. Then the speaker from Punjab University came and he put up his stance and we gave so many rebuttals and the discussion went worst when a point was raised about clothes and then judges had to actually pause the game and then after sometime and some strict remarks the game resumed. Then Huma Baji went and she … if I remember it right there was something about the Marshal Law and we all regretted that we should n’t have said that :D but it was fun. She spoke awesomely!
The match ended and the PU were given a bench victory and after that we all went to eat. I was with Huma Baji and we talked A LOT :D Then Shahbaz bhaii joined us and then later on whole team joined us and those days were so memorable, I want to rewind my life and start living it from that moment again.

What I miss about her?

Well, she was a person who was so very helping in every possible way. Besides studies, she always encouraged me to participate and follow my dreams. Today, when I look back at all those years I spent in UET Taxila, with my super awesome seniors, I proudly say that I made MEMORIES.
It was like almost more than an year that I haven’t seen or met her and like two days back I went to library and I kept saying to myself, I have seen that lady somewhere :P She looks like Huma Baji :D then I said ‘Come On! Ommer ! She can’t be here :D and I started studying’ and when I was about to leave I was talking to my cousin at the bus stop and right when I was about to leave and I turned to my right I saw her and I was like -> (O_O)
‘Huma Bajiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!! Aap ? How come? When ? How ? Where? What a surprise? :D’
We talked for five minutes shared few things and then we had to go… the bus was about to leave.

Exclusive Message? :D

Yes !!!! ‘When are we meeting Bajiiiii? :D Have loads to share :D Loads to tell! I anxiously look forward to meet you’ (^_^)

P.S. A belated Happy Birthday :P I thought I would post it yesterday but could n’t get any time. Have so much going around these days :P

The Evalady - Madiha Rahman

Today, I have another person for you to meet. She calls herself 'Evalady' but I call her Maddy :P
Now you should read to know why :P

Where we met?

That is really a cool story. Hassan Bhai called me to his office for some unfinished tasks that were on me to do. What happened was that I went into his Office, Seronic which was located in Blue Area, Islamabad. His boss wasn't around and he was kind of looking around things. He asked me to have a seat besides his cabin. There was lot of chatter going around. Phones were constantly ringing, people talking, emailing, printing, coming, going. It was like a typical office environment and I wondered how do these people actually work in such noise? :P I really want pin drop silence to think and work. Anyways, a person gave me a chair and I sat. There was a person sitting in front of Hassan Bhai's cabin. While he was giving work to someone, he said, 'Ommer! I guess you know that person' and I was like ->  (O_O)
I tilted my head to see who the person was and there I found a this Evalady, working on his laptop. If I remember it right then she was assigned some work by Hassan Bhai regarding the History Pak website. She saw me and greeted me. I still had no idea who she was, but I guess she knew me Or maybe not :P (Tell me Maddy! Did you know me before? :D I wanna know :P )
So that was where I first met her.

Expectations?

NO expectations :P I never knew who was sitting in the front cabin. All I saw was a jolly lady, who greeted me and told me a tale which I will be telling you very shortly. Moreover, that day I was really exhausted from the scorching heat. It was Ramazan and I was doing my internship.

Evalady?

This is pretty interesting. She calls herself Evalady. The best thing is I don't know what that word means. On facebook, I have came across girls who name themselves, Princess, Pretty Doll, Cute Girl, Barbie and God knows what :D But a profile with Evalady? Impressive :P
My curiosity forced me to ask her what is the story behind her. I wonder why but she wont tell! I told her that I will give a surprise and then she became curious about her surprise as her birthday was upcoming and it's natural that you die to know what surprises await you. I often wonder why people go to the fortune tellers? Life is full of surprises and why we ruin it? :D
Coming back to the Evalady, we finally had a deal that she will tell me about the Evalady and I will tell her about the surprise. Now, you might be thinking that I am such a fool that I could have googled the meaning but Dear-Who-So-Ever-Is-Reading-It I tried it :P I couldn't find it so I had to ask her.
She told me that Evalady is derived from two words, Eve and Lady. Eve means First and you know what lady means :P So it is like first lady but to be more precise, as per her that meant 'The First Woman'. Now why first woman? There are so many women roaming around and how come she be first woman? That's what her close buddies know.
I don't know whether you got the meaning of Evalady or not I prefer to call her Maddy :D
Madiha Rahman Seronic Head Shot

Maddy!

Her name is Madiha Rehman and I have a habit that I give nick names to people I care about. After our first meeting, I really felt like she shares somewhat the same pain which I went through in my past which I no longer care about. After all we need to move on. Year 2012 was the most happiest and the most saddest year of my life. I did came across her once but I will tell you about that later, hold on a bit :P
She too went through somewhat the same thing which I was made to go through and that was -> Painful (-_-) Why I call her Maddy? because I love that name :D I asked her If I can call her with that she said Yes I may :P and I was like 'Yayyyyyy'

Best Memory?

Umm :D I guess our first meeting was the best ever memory up till now. Coming back to the story :P Back in 2011 I joined an online newspaper as a reporter and somehow she was there too. That day in Seronic when she greeted me and told me her side of story everything came back in my mind. All those times, memories and everything ! the best part was that she didn't tell me her name and when she was finished with her story I said You are Madiha Rehman from Bahawalpur who did a radio show ! and She said, 'Bingo' then I shared my story and then we realized we were passengers of same boat bitten by the same snake :D But after all it is past and I forgave everyone for everything and started a new life.

Qualities?

I don't know her much, just met her once. We do talk on facebook sometimes and I found her very co-operative and nice. She enjoys life and one habit which I really found worth mentioning is that she changes her DP's like clothes :D Every now and then comes a new picture, in a new pose, in a new place, in a new dress much better than than the previous. :D I wish I could feature all the pics here, I can but I wont :D

Exclusive Message!

Happy Birthday Maddy :D May you have many many more :D and do share some more vids like 'The Meaning Of Life' That video changed me completely #Evalady #Maddy #HappyBirthday

The Lady With A Class - Maryam Fazal

Well I guess most of you might have heard of read about the 'The Lady With A Lamp'! Yeah, the Florence Nightingale, British Woman who tended wounded soldiers in Crimean War. For your information, she is dead a long time ago :D But she was a nice lady.
Today, I want to introduce you to 'The Lady With A Class' Yeah, her name is Maryam Fazal. I was really busy yesterday and I wanted this to be her birthday gift but I hope if she is reading this right now, she will still be happy with it. So, let's begin How I Met Maryam Fazal

Where we met?

I never thought that we will ever meet. Infact I didnt know that she even existed :3 I never heard of her. Possibly, because I am a student of UET Taxila and she studies in NUST NBS. It was just a co-incidence as I had an interview in Pearl Continental Hotel, Rawalpindi for some event organized by KK. I was told that some other students will join us too by the Maam Fareeha. The time was 11:00am and I was there a little early. Maam invited me in the office and we talked on random things till every one arrived.
I was really surprized to see Xee there. She came with her friends, I don't remember the names of those two girls but I do remember the faces :D Well after that Maryam came. If I remember it right then she was draped in light shade of blue Shalwar Kameez. She was tall, confident and really 'classy' :P After she came, Maam started the meeting, briefed us about the event and what she was planning to organize and what were our job descriptions. We poured in our ideas for about two hours and after that we left.
Maryam Researcher Smiling Face Picture

Expectations?

Seriously, NO expectations. She just showed up in the meeting and we debated about the speeches and some ideas on how to organize things. We were in planning team and after the meeting, later on she was the team lead and she sought my help and ideas as rest of members were 'Slack' :D

Mutual Interests?

I came to know that she is general secretory at NBS Debating Society. I wish I could have become that of QDS but alas :P Anyways ... Later on, during our conversation she told me about her 'casual' interest to carry out researches. Seriously, in this era when all girls care about is dressing up and talking about pathetic dramas, I was really amazed to see one classy lady with an interest in 'Research' #Respect

Memories?

There are many ... Of which one particular I would like to mention here. I worked for KK with full dedication but not getting any positive response from the administrative authority made me quit it. I did informed her before I left and she understood my reason. Event got delayed and finally I heard that they did organized that event and it was reported that it went good. I am glad it did so regarding the Skype meeting which I was telling you, the agenda was to show up on time with ideas for decor and speech topics. First of all the genre couldnt be decided, finally after so much debate it was decided that we will keep it simple. There was a person in our team who didnt bothered to show up in the meeting, we called that person, tagged and even texted but no response. We both along with another girl, I guess her name was Aymen we did shared our ideas and finalized something and the next day a final meeting was called on skype and finally that person showed up but I have to say that I was rather disappointed after hearing what that person had to say.
Anyway the best part was that despite of everything, we finalized something and I also made a seating arrangement plan which I gave to Maryam before I left KK.
Though KK was not as I was expecting it to be but the memories and the persons I met will stay with me.

Best Qualities?

I have just met her twice and during that I really found her as a responsible girl who does the work assigned to her in the best possible way. Why I am saying that? because I have worked under her and she knows how to lead by example. We were in the 'Event Planning' team and she used to schedule meetings which included facebook meetings, interactions, sharing of ideas, skype meetings, finalizing the event plan, finalizing the budget, decor ideas etc. I really learnt and enjoyed alot while working with her. If you ever happen to meet her then one thing you will never forget is her 'smile' :P

Worst Quality?

Umm ... Can't remember any! I just met her twice so couldn't find anything worth pointing out that she needs to improve.

Exclusive Message

Happy belated birthday :D If ever I got a chance then I would love to see you speaking on podium. :P I really wanna hear your debate #Someday :D #LadyWithAClass :D

Hamdard Bestie - Sohail Khan

So after a very long break, I am back at blogging and this time I will be telling you how I met this bestie of mine named 'Sohail Khan'. There are two reasons of calling him Hamdard Bestie
  1. He studies in Hamdard University, Islamabad
  2. He is very Hamdard :D
Hamdard in Urdu means who really cares for you and feels your pains and helps you over come them and boosts you up. For me he is just like that. Whenever we meet, we talk for hours. So let's start the How I Met ... session

Where we met?

Hmm ... Well, he joined Revolution Flame an year back, and I was in touch with him through Facebook. He was pretty active, he was not the kind of person like everyone else who just join and then sit idle. From the day one, he showed alot of interest in Creative Minds. Everyday, he shared ideas, articles, pictures and what not. Keeping in view of his devotion to the platform, we made him head of Creative Minds Section of our platform and since then he is with us.
Well, as for where we met? :D
That is one heck of a story and here it goes ...
In Revolution Flame, every month we try to organize one meeting and there was a meeting in the month of August (if I remember it right) and a total of four persons were called in that meeting. There was Bilal who was to pick me up from Pir Wadai Bus Stand and drop me at the Kuch Khaas Restaurant in Islamabad. What happened was really stupid (-_-) I had a very bad day, I reached there on time but Bilal got stuck in a traffic jam and I had to wait for about an hour in the scorching heat on the road and Sohail was constantly calling me that where the heck was I :D
Actually I was to preside the meeting and brief him about our mission statement and everything and I really feel very bad for him but come on that wasn't my fault :P
Any how I grabbed a taxi and reached there to see Sohail in cafe with a girl :P Anyhow, I smiled and he smiled back but he was really mad at me for keeping him wait for such a long time.
Sohail Khan Hamdard University Picture

Expectations?

This is the fun part. I was expecting him to be energetic, enthusiastic lad with ultimate creativity and passion to do something BIG for us. He was pretty much like that :D So no disappointments in that regard. He personality was cool and calm, even though we met for the first time but we conversed quite freely. I enjoyed the session with him (^_^) Little I knew at that time that this meeting would go such a long way.

Best Memory?

Infact there are too many or I should say every memory is no less than being called a 'best'. Let me share few of them here. It was in EME Olympiad 2012, where both of us first volunteered. We had three days of ultimate excitement and the best memory was the Ali Azmat concert, we got the first row all for our selves. Thanks to some-one-who-should-not-be-named :D I really fear that person's dad :D So no names :P Anyway, the best memory was that we were with that person and most importantly we got to cross the red-line and have exclusive photos with Ali Azmat while rest of the crowd watched us :D Seriously what a moment it was :D Uff ... Still that moment is frozen in my mind.
After that there's another memory which I want to share. It was in CASE University Islamabad in their event CASE Epica and there we organized an awareness activity and at the end since I was looking most descent, Sohail said that I  should go and receive the shield on behalf of Revolution Flame. Ok I know I am good, when it comes to public speaking but suddenly realizing that you will be called upon on stage gives you goosebumps :D Well, this bestie bucked me up and I did pretty well there. So, ThankYou buddy :D you rock :P

Ever felt like killing him?

Yes :3 Many times :P One time I would really want everyone to know is that my first ever meeting with National Youth Parliament Pakistan. There was some International Peace Solidarity Event to be organized in Dream Land Hotel in Islamabad. He called me to reach F-9 Park and unfortunately I reached the wrong gate. Not to mention that I was fasting and I bunked my Internship at CASE University for this meeting and the sun was hot. I had to walk that whole god damn park, ok not whole most of it as I got a lift from a person who dropped me at the gate where I was supposed to be but still You know he said that we all must be there at the gate by 1300 hours and even though I reached the required gate just in time but He WAS LATE (-_-) and that too by 45 mins. That was really the moment when I wanted to kill him for being late but as when he reached the venue then I realized why he was late :D *rest of the story is a secret* :D But I didnt kill him, he is still alive :D

Best Quality?

Well he is my bestie so whatever state he is in, I love it :D  \m/ I call him bestie because everything in him is BEST :D So now you should meet him to know what he is like :P

Worst Quality?
